A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"When you drive by this place, you cannot help but drop your jaw!!! Three shops in a row - all competing with one another in one dish -- Yong Tau Foo! Ampang Homeland Yong Tau Foo, Orchard View Yong Tau Foo and Foong Foong Yong Tau Foo are all sited just next to each other on a road where parking spaces are almost chaotic and people ask you for money when you park outside their property!! Seriously, i wont be able to tell which outlet to go to if Youtubers like Elmo Lee and Nick Catman hadn't left me some tiis and hints! 1. Ampang Homeland serves Halal YTF 2. Orchard View varies its offerings by adding claypot meats and veggies 3. Foong Foong relies very much on just YTF. We ordered the usual - stuffed red chillies, ladies fingers, White Tahu and Tahu Pok. We also tried both versions of the meat dumplings - soup and fried. The FRIED ones are better because they contain meat and water chestnuts, making them sweet, crunchy and umami-filled. The soup dumplings lack taste and texture. The pieces are big so i hope you dont have eyes that are larger than your stomach capacity. Overall taste is mild(no MSG or salt fish taste) and i love the dumpling soup because it's the only dish that comes with bits of sawi veggies!"
"Reasonably priced yong tau fu. Food comes very fast after ordering. You must try the fried stuff - they are crispy, warm and juicy on the inside. Parking can be difficult during the peak hours. The yong tau fu portions are huge! Pls try of fish paste for every piece. Highly recommended. Thumbs up! A must try for anyway visiting Kuala Lumpur!"
"It is always slightly worrying going back to a place with a lot of nostalgia and good food but I am happy to report that the worry was completely unwarranted. The yong tau foo here was as good as we remembered it to be. My favourites were still my favourites: grilled stuffed brinjal, stuffed bitter gourd, stuffed chilli and the wonderful soup broth served in a big bowl. Ahhhh…if only I had a larger stomach capacity! Definitely worth the trip out if you’re in KL."
"Very nice and tasty. The fish paste are super nice a must try. Tou foo are large and the fish pate are fully filled."
"OK lah no bad. RM2.20 each. But~ the outside dessert stall amazed me! Bubur Chacha so nice cost RM5 only! So sad I shouldn't order so much yangdoufu, so far the dessert the BEST. Oh the other small stall fried durian...... Cheap RM3 only, but super small!!!"
"They’ve kept the Yong Tau Fu top-notch for years, making it a fantastic breakfast spot in KL."
"This is not your typical generic food court "YTF stall" serving shrivelled pieces of yesterday's frozen processed "YTF". This is the real deal big chunky juicy home made YTF with resonable prices to match. Noodle dishes available. Only 4 car parking slots in front of shop so use e-hailing. Opens early for breakfast and closes 4pm. Old toilet but clean. Btw the large sign above shop says Homeland Yong Tau Foo Sdn Bhd. Recommended by Homelander."
"This is hands down the most delicious Yong Tau Foo we've ever had. It's no wonder this restaurant was almost full while the other 2 restaurants serving similar food was relatively empty. Will definitely be back."
